Privacy policy
This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information moiria.com collects, why, where it goes, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
moiria.com is the website of the Moiria Consortium, a global IT services consortium rooted in Québec. On this site, the Consortium introduces its product families, publishes working notes, and lets you contact us.
Who is responsible for your personal information
The Moiria Consortium ("Moiria", "we", "us") is responsible for the protection of the personal information collected through this website. Our designated person in charge is Guillaume Bleau, Chief Executive Officer. You can reach him at guillaume.bleau@moiria.com for any question, request or complaint about this policy.
What we collect
Only what this website actually handles: (1) the information you choose to send us through the contact form — name, email address, phone number, your message, and optionally your website — or through the newsletter subscription — your email address only; (2) usage data measured by Google Analytics 4, only after you accept analytics cookies; (3) two small functional cookies set by the site itself — your interface language and the partner whose link referred you here — along with your colour theme and your cookie choice kept in your browser's local storage. If you choose Accept all, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn tracking may also process pages visited, device and browser information, advertising identifiers and successful-enquiry signals for advertising measurement and audiences. Names, email addresses and messages entered in the form are not included in these tracking events.
Why we collect it
Contact details serve one purpose: answering your message and, if a business relationship follows, keeping a written record of it. Analytics-only consent enables site-use measurement with advertising consent denied. Accept all additionally enables advertising measurement and audience creation through Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn. Preferences are used only to restore your interface choices on your next visit. If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is used only to send you the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
On what basis
Optional tracking is off by default. Analytics only enables Google Analytics; Accept all additionally enables advertising tracking and Google Tag Manager. Refuse optional keeps optional tracking off. You can change or withdraw your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Changing an active choice reloads the page to stop previously loaded tracking code; it does not erase data already received by providers. Answering a contact request is done as part of pre-contractual measures taken at your request. Subscribing to the newsletter is done on your express consent, which you can withdraw by unsubscribing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not make automated decisions based on it.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Before you consent, this website sets only two small functional cookies of its own, needed for the site to work: one remembers your interface language, and one remembers which partner referred you so your inquiry can be routed correctly. Both are cleared when you clear your browser cookies. Your colour theme and consent choice are stored locally on your device. After analytics consent, Google Analytics may set measurement cookies. Accept all also permits advertising cookies from enabled Google, Meta and LinkedIn tools. When you withdraw consent, the site clears accessible first-party tracking cookies and reloads without the refused tools; third-party cookies and previously collected data must be managed through your browser or the provider. You can reopen your choices from the footer.
Tracking providers and transfers outside Québec
Google Analytics and, when you accept all, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn may process browsing and measurement data outside Québec, including in the United States. Advertising consent stays denied for Analytics only. These providers process received information under their own privacy policies. Refusing optional tracking prevents this site's optional tracking libraries from loading. Contact our privacy officer for information about international processing and applicable safeguards.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept while we handle your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention setting, after which Google deletes it automatically. Local preferences stay on your device until you clear them or until this policy changes, in which case the cookie banner will ask again. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, ask for a copy in a portable format, withdraw your consent at any time, and ask that the dissemination of your personal information be stopped or that it be de-indexed (the "right to de-indexing" under Québec's Act 25). To exercise any of these rights, write to guillaume.bleau@moiria.com — we answer within 30 days. If you believe your rights were not respected, you may also lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Personal information we receive by email or through the form is stored with access limited to the people who need it to do their work. Local preferences never contain personal information — only an interface choice and a consent status.
Incidents and applicable law
We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious harm, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the affected people, as the Act requires, and we take the measures needed to reduce that harm. This policy is governed by the laws applicable in Québec, including the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and the Act to establish a legal framework for information technology, and, where applicable, by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
